Uninstalling Programs in Windows 7

To uninstall a program such as the Privacy Scanner on Windows 7, you can open your Control Panel by the Start Menu in the bottom lefthand corner of your Windows desktop.

You will see a screen like the following, where, under Programs, you'll see an Uninstall option.

Alternatively, your control panel may not be displayed in this simplistic, categorized mode. If that's the case, look for an icon labeled "Programs & Features".

Once you have clicked Uninstall or opened the Programs & Features control panel, you will immediately see a list of installed programs. Look for the one labeled Privacy Scanner.

Once you find that item in the list, right-click it and choose Uninstall from the grey menu that appears. The program uninstaller begins. Follow the prompts and your program is uninstalled.
