For your first time using the Privacy Scanner, it will present you a screen where you may click the Scan Now button to begin. The product allows you to scan for potential privacy traces in your temporary files, browser history, cookies, browser usernames and passwords, user profiles, and your recycle bin. The free product allows unlimited free scans and one free cleaning. The purchased product allows for unlimited scans and unlimited cleanings.
However, if you have done one scan previously, and run the application again, your screen will look similar to the following summary screen.
On this alternative starting screen, which you can see when you click the Overview tab menu on the left, you can see when the scan was last completed, what was found in each category, what was fixed, and have the options to reshow those results or scan again.
Scanning
When you elect to do a scan, you will see the percentage progress of your scan, along with each category and a count of entries found. You can click Cancel at any time to cancel this scan.

Scheduling Scans
By default, the product not only scans once on each login, but scans once a day. You can change the scheduled daily scan in the Schedule tab in the main menu on the left in the application. To change the scan upon each login, this is in settings and is discussed under the Settings part of this guide.
On the daily scan, you can change the time of day when it scans, as well as turn it on or off. You can also change from Daily Scan to Weekly Scan.
On the weekly scan, you can choose which days to run the scan, as well as set the time when the scan runs, and, of course, toggle the scheduled scan feature on or off.
On both of these scan types, you can also click the Reset to Default button to revert back to a daily scan at the default time of 11:59am in your timezone.
